BOTHERIUM UPDATE: This is our garden shed that had been moved by previous owners during a renovation and was sort of stuck too close to the house without a foundation. We asked permission from Historic to move it away from the house and put it on a proper foundation . A 150′ crane came to pull it up and place it on the newly built stone foundation, made from leftover pieces found in a corner of the property. Interesting fact…when they set the building down on the foundation, they used large bags of ice placed on the foundation so they could maneuver it and get the straps out without cutting them. As the ice melted, they carefully placed it in the perfect position. Oh, how I love common sense solutions! We found enough original iron fencing in the basement of the big house to put around it and will create an organic vegetable garden there this fall.
