Thursday, July 19th. An Evening in the Gardens was sold out within a week of sending the invitations and the 250./person ticket was well worth every penny, for not only were guests in for a treat with gorgeous floral and vegetable gardens, amazing food by Cooper Vaughan of The Apiary, and a talk by Saving Kentucky author Sally Van Winkle (granddaughter of Pappy Van Winkle…the cult bourbon of all time), but this raised money for The Fayette Alliance and Markey Cancer Foundation. It’s such a nice feeling to give much needed money for good causes AND enjoy every moment while you are doing it! Nobody will forget this spectacular night…
