  • May 21, 2018

Thank you to all who visited us at the Rockcastle River Trading Co. Spring Open House on Mothers Day weekend. It was one of the most successful opening houses ever, so we really appreciate you stopping over!

Val Schirmer of Three Toads Farm knocked the socks off folks with her incredible tips and the flower creations she had available for Mothers’ Day. The coffee was flowing thanks to Smokin’ Aces Coffee! And Local Feed served up their insanely delicious food to over 700 happy customers!

The store is now open through end of year, so if you missed it, you can still pop over and shop, walk the botanical trail and enjoy an afternoon along the beautiful Rockcastle River!

it’s going to be a party of historic proportions that you won’t want to miss!

This is very special fundraiser for The Blue Grass Trust for Historic Preservation, which is responsible for why Lexington is so beautiful… because they protect, revitalize and promote the special historic places all over the Bluegrass region of our beautiful state. Dale is on the board and it means so much to us that we are able to give back to this wonderful organization.

Story Time with Momma, who can resist?

  • December 21, 2016
Lucille Carloftis At Story Time Rockcastle River Trading Co.

Over at Rockcastle River Trading Co. last week, visitors nibbled on tea and homemade sweets while Momma (AKA Lucille Carloftis) read to us from her book, “A Beautiful Journey”, in which she reveals the most meaningful experiences of her life, and the richness she has derived from them by being a fellow traveler. She also read some unpublished Christmas stories that are a delight for all-ages! We all know how enchanting her stories can be! Boy did she get us in the mood for the holidays!

A Great Southern Legislative Conference Garden Tour…

  • July 14, 2016

This week we toured some of our favorite Lexington gardens, taking 50 spouses of the Southern Legislative Conference held here in Lexington, Kentucky this past weekend. The garden tour visited Mt. Brilliant Farm, Kazee, Lois Anne Polan, Dudley’s rooftop garden, Madonna & Craig Turner, Apiary and of course we ended at our beloved Botherum.

The day was beautiful, the people as wonderful as they come and we just loved every moment of the day.

Guess what? We can all get along and very well!
